Two oval rubies, 6 by 5 millimeters each, are held by four rounded gold claws over an open sided basket. Seen from the profile the gallery is cut straight through, so light reaches the pavilion as well as the crown and the red stays lit from below rather than closing up at the base of the setting.
Color runs a vivid raspberry red, brighter and more pink leaning than a deep brick tone, and the 14K yellow gold sits tight around each stone with nothing else in the design to look at. Just over a carat for the pair puts a clean spot of color at the lobe without adding width.
