In white gold the halo and the collet merge into one continuous field of light, with the ruby dropped into the middle of it. Each disc runs eight millimeters across and the small diamonds are set close enough that almost no metal shows between them.
Every ruby is a round cut held in fine claws just inside the diamond circle. Photographed on the ear, the pair sits flat and keeps to a small, contained patch of the lobe, with the cool frame pushing the red forward.
