These rubies run brighter and pinker than the deeper reds usually paired with gold, and the white metal is what lets that show. Held in 14K white gold inside a halo of forty round diamonds, twenty to an earring, the color stays high and clean rather than being pulled toward orange.
Each halo stone sits in its own claw, so the rim comes up textured and faintly starry instead of smooth, and the four claws gripping the oval center are the same white metal and effectively vanish against the diamonds. At 10 by 8 millimeters the heads stay compact, carrying 1.70 carats of ruby against 0.25 carats of diamond, and they sit flush to the lobe with no drop.
