An oval ruby sits in four claws at the middle of each earring, ringed by round diamonds that alternate larger and smaller as they travel around the outline. That alternation gives the halo a scalloped, faintly starburst edge instead of an even circle, and it widens the visual footprint of the earring well past the ruby itself.
Everything here is white metal, so there is no warm tone anywhere to pull at the red. At eleven by nine millimeters these sit flat against the lobe and read as a compact block of color with a bright fringe around it.
