Read the carat figure carefully on this one. The 4.04 carats are spread across three staggered rows of oval rubies, not gathered into a single stone. The rows are offset so each ruby sits in the gap left by the two above it, and prongs are shared between neighbours, which is what lets the stones pack tightly enough to cover the whole face of the ring.
Colour shifts from a cooler pink at the outer rows toward a deeper red through the centre. Sterling silver shows only at the prongs and along the rims before widening into a smooth shank. On the hand it covers most of the width of the finger, a cluster ring in the true sense rather than one stone with a surround. Size 7.
