Two oval rubies fill these studs almost edge to edge, 1.68 carats for the pair at eight by six millimeters each. The red sits bright and a little pink across the table, then gathers toward the girdle where the pavilion facets stack up. Four white claws are the only metal visible from the front.
Cool white gold against warm red keeps the outline sharp and stops the color picking up any gold cast. The stones sit flat to the lobe with no gallery showing above the ear.
