An emerald cut sapphire of nearly four and a half carats, navy blue and dense enough that the step facets read as depth rather than flash. A single row of white topaz frames it, and the shank splits at the shoulders into two pave set rails that run back toward the finger.
That split does two things: it widens the top of the ring so the rectangle looks larger, and it keeps the band narrow where it wraps. Sterling silver, size 7.
