One stone only. An oval smoky quartz of 7.88 carats, cut with a checkerboard crown that breaks the top into small squares, set in a smooth closed bezel of sterling silver.
What surrounds it is not gemstone but metalwork: three concentric rings of raised silver beading stepping outward from the bezel, each row catching light on its own. That construction gives the ring the footprint of a large cluster while keeping the stone count at one. The quartz is a warm grey brown, transparent enough to see through at the rim and deeper toward the middle. Size 8.
