A large round smoky quartz of 2.96 carats, cut with a checkerboard crown so the top is a grid of small flat facets rather than a single table, held in four paired claws. The shoulders split into three rails on each side, the outer two set with small yellow diamonds in warm toned metal and the middle one left bright, so the ring is banded lengthwise. Brown and yellow are close neighbors, and putting the yellow diamonds directly beside the quartz makes the quartz look warmer than it does alone.
