An oval spessartine garnet holds the center inside a ring of small round diamonds. The halo is set in white metal, so it draws a bright outline around the orange instead of dissolving into the gold, and the garnet itself glows golden orange with lighter flashes toward the crown. The oval stands upright between the shoulders, its long axis crossing the band.
From the halo a single row of diamonds continues down each shoulder, narrowing as it travels until the pave stops and the 14K yellow gold band runs plain and rounded to the back. Thirty eight diamonds in all, 0.29 carats between them. The head sits close to the finger rather than perched high, and the ring comes at size 7 US.
