All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Most of this drop is metal rather than stone. Below the French wire an openwork quatrefoil in polished white metal fills the upper two thirds of the length, four pierced lobes turning around a small central boss, and only under that does the topaz appear. Each stone is a kite cut, a pointed shield hung from a single loop so it swings clear of the frame above it. The result is a long silver silhouette with one bright blue point at the bottom.
Twelve and eight tenths carats sit in just two stones, so each drop is substantial in the hand even though it reads as a small vivid accent at 57 millimeters of length. Rhodium plated silver stays neutral, leaving the blue as the only color in play.
