Each drop is built around a cushion cut Swiss blue topaz with a high domed crown, claw set at the middle of an open scrollwork frame. The frame is the larger part of the design: four pierced petals in rhodium plated sterling silver curling out to points above and below the stone, with small openwork fleurs filling the corners at either side.
The two stones weigh 5.30 carats together and read as a light, bright blue against all of that white metal. At 34.4 by 18.2 millimeters the drops hang from hinged lever backs and swing with movement rather than sitting fixed at the lobe.
