All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Most of the length here is openwork silver. A pierced quatrefoil panel, four rounded lobes worked around a cross of polished bars, hangs from a French wire and occupies the top two thirds of each earring. Nothing is set into that panel; the whole pattern is cut out of the metal itself.
The stone waits at the bottom: one kite cut Swiss blue topaz per ear, prong set at four points with its apex facing down. Step faceting across the kite keeps the pale blue open and legible, and at 58 by 25 millimeters overall the pair swings well clear of the jaw.
