The design stacks in two parts. A round Swiss blue topaz sits under four claws at the middle of a wide disc, ringed by a single row halo of small white diamonds; above it a short rectangular plaque carries champagne diamonds in a darker setting, so the warm brown meets the cool blue directly with only a hinge between them.
At 15 by 10 millimeters the pair covers the lobe without dropping below it, and the round face keeps the topaz forward instead of letting the halo take over. It is 0.26 carats of diamond in two colors around 1.18 carats of topaz, which is where the density of such a small earring comes from.
