The stone here is unusual in form: a half moon of Swiss blue topaz weighing 10.88 carats, flat across the top and rounded below, brilliant faceted so that the light gathers toward the straight edge. It fills the lower two thirds of the pendant.
Above it the silver is pierced into a fine lattice of small repeating openings, a screen of metal set directly against the solid mass of the stone. The two halves are close in area, which makes the pendant read as a deliberate pairing of dense and open rather than as a stone with decoration attached. In sterling silver, 38 by 19 mm.
