The stone is a cushion cut Swiss blue topaz of 8.16 carats, set low in a sterling silver frame built from elongated petal loops that radiate out around it. The loops are open wire rather than solid metal, so the frame reads as line drawing at 51 by 29 mm and the weight stays manageable for a pendant this long.
The topaz occupies the centre with open silver on every side, and at 8.16 carats it is plainly the focus of the piece.
