A single emerald cut Swiss blue topaz sits at the centre of an openwork fan, with straight bars radiating from behind it and small white topaz set along the rays and in a short row at the base. The geometry is squarely Art Deco: hard lines, symmetry, and negative space used as a design element rather than filled in. Thirty nine by twenty six millimetres, and because so much of the frame is pierced it hangs lighter than that footprint implies.
