A 5.24 carat oval swiss blue topaz sits high in four prongs at the front of this ring, and the shoulders behind it are pavé set with blue diamonds, 0.24 carats of them, in darkened settings.
That dark metal is doing something specific. It drops the value behind the small stones, so the blue diamonds read as deeper and denser than the topaz above them, two blues at different weights rather than one repeated at two sizes. The topaz itself is bright and slightly green in its blue, cut with a large table that shows the colour flat and full. Sterling silver, size 7.
