A domed oval cabochon of light blue topaz sits low in a rub over setting at the center of a heavy band. Cut without facets, the stone returns one broad sweep of light across its surface rather than scattered flashes, and the blue stays even from edge to edge.
Each shoulder is cut with a small triangular panel holding a single round white topaz, the only detail on an otherwise plain, wide, high polished ring. The metal reads bright white throughout, which keeps the pale blue dome as the only color in the piece. Total weight is 3.66 carats.
