The Swiss blue topaz is a cushion set corner up, so the head reads as a diamond shape on the finger rather than a square. Around it the white topaz is arranged as a starburst, short spokes of graduated stones radiating out from the frame, which turns the halo into something pointed instead of a smooth ring.
Gold plated shoulders run wide and flat into the head, and the claws gripping the center are gold as well, so a warm outline sits underneath everything cool. That covers 3.64 carats of Swiss blue topaz against 0.64 carats of white topaz at size 7 US, and the face is broad enough to be the only thing worn on the hand.
