Twenty-seven tanzanites are packed into one raised cluster that runs up the finger rather than across it, an elongated oval face close to twice as long as it is wide. The stones sit at slightly different heights so the surface domes, and the blue slides toward violet in patches as the hand moves.
No single stone here is large; the effect comes from massing 2.50 carats into a continuous field with almost no metal showing between the claws. Rhodium plated sterling silver runs down from the cluster into a plain tapered shank at size 8.
