Tanzanite shows two colors at once, and these ovals do it plainly: a strong blue across the table with violet gathering in the deeper zones toward each end. Every stone sits in a full halo of round diamonds, twenty to an earring, and the halo stones are clawed individually so the outer edge breaks into small points instead of a smooth rim.
Everything else is white. The 14K white gold claws on the centers, the halo settings and the backs all read the same cool tone, which leaves the blue violet as the only color in the piece. At 11 by 9 millimeters each stud covers the lobe without overhanging it, and the pair carries 2.30 carats of tanzanite against 0.25 carats of diamond.
