These hoops are set inside out. Oval tanzanites run along the outer face and continue right around the inner face, so color shows whether the ear is seen straight on or in profile, and no part of the curve is left as plain metal.
The tones are not uniform. Some stones read pale lilac, others a deeper violet blue, and set claw to claw around the circle they give the hoop a mottled color rather than a flat one. At 28 millimeters across and only 4 millimeters wide the pair frames the lobe while staying narrow in profile, with 5.08 carats distributed over the full loop and a hinged closure that tucks in behind the ear.
