Oval tanzanites run the full circumference of each hoop, held in shared yellow gold claws rather than channels, with the metal showing between stones as small bright points. The stones face outward along the front and carry on around the inner edge as well, so the color stays in view whether the hoop is seen head on or edge on.
Tanzanite moves between blue and violet as it turns, and distributing thirty small ovals around a circle gives that shift somewhere to travel. At thirty millimeters across and 3.6 wide the pair stays light at the ear, and the gold plating warms the violet right where it meets the claw.
