The bail is the detail worth noticing. Two diamond set bands come down from the chain and cross over one another just above the halo, one passing behind the other, so the pendant hangs from a knot of light rather than a plain loop. It also tips the head very slightly forward, which helps the stone face outward when worn.
Below that, an oval tanzanite is held in four claws inside a close ring of round diamonds. The color sits between blue and violet and moves between the two as the light changes across the crown. The whole pendant measures nineteen by eleven millimeters and hangs on a fine rope chain of sixteen inches, which sits high, at the base of the neck.
