The tanzanite is a pear cut worn point upward, and the diamonds around it do more than circle the stone. The line of small stones follows the pear, then crosses over itself at the top in a loop that becomes the bail, so frame and hanger read as one continuous ribbon of white gold.
Violet through the shoulders of the stone, bluer toward the point, the color shifts with the angle you catch it at. On its sixteen inch chain the pendant hangs high on the neckline and measures twenty three millimeters including the loop.
