This pendant centers on a tanzanite of 3.42 carats, a large stone whose violet-blue turns warmer against yellow gold. Forty-one diamonds run along the setting and add a bright outline where the metal meets the stone. The drop measures twenty-four millimeters and hangs from a 14K yellow gold chain of sixteen inches. A stone this size, cut and set this way, was made only for this one piece.
