Yellow gold sits closest to the stone on this pendant. A scrolled inner frame in the warm metal wraps the oval tanzanite and holds it in prongs, and the white gold takes over from there, carrying the diamonds outward. Eighty-five of them trace a flowing petal outline around the center and continue up through the bail, so the pave reads as an open curl of light rather than a solid border.
At 29 by 19 millimeters the drop has genuine presence at the neck, and the gaps left between the two frames keep it from looking dense. The 16 inch yellow gold chain brings the warm tone back above the cooler outer work.
