An oval tanzanite carries the whole pendant, its color shifting between blue and violet as it meets the light, with thirty small round diamonds set close around the girdle. The halo is narrow, barely wider than the stone itself, which is why the piece stays compact at just over twenty millimeters.
Above the halo the bail is worked as an open crossed ribbon rather than a plain loop, a detail that shows when the pendant hangs still at the collarbone. White gold throughout, cool against the blue violet.
