This is a plaque ring, a long rectangle of silver openwork worn up the finger rather than across it, with a fine milgrain line tracing the entire border. Three flower heads fill the panel, each one built from oval and pear cut tanzanites laid out as petals around a single round stone at the center.
Between the flowers the silver is cut away into scrolls, which lets skin show through the panel and keeps a face this large from reading as a solid slab. Two more small round tanzanites sit in the shoulders where the band meets the plaque. The color runs a soft violet blue throughout and pulls toward periwinkle in direct light.
2.48 carats of tanzanite in total, divided across every stone in the panel, in sterling silver at size 7 US with custom sizing available. Spreading the weight rather than concentrating it is what lets the design cover this much of the finger at this carat total.
