This is a wide band, not a single stone: three staggered rows of small oval tanzanites run along the top, every stone in its own set of gold-plated claws, so the rows close up into a continuous violet-blue field across the finger. The 2.70 carats quoted is the total across all of them.
Tanzanite shifts between blue and violet with the angle of view, and split across this many small stones the shift happens piecemeal: some read blue while their neighbors read purple, and the pattern reorganizes itself as the hand turns. Gold plating over silver draws a warm outline around every claw and between the rows. Size 7.
