The shoulders are where the design actually happens. An oval tanzanite of 3.70 carats sits in four claws beneath a close single row halo, and from either side of that halo the shank breaks into a woven crossover of pavé ribbons that loop over and under one another before rejoining, left open enough that you can see straight through the gaps.
Most of the seventy-two diamonds live in that braided section rather than around the stone, 0.36 carats threaded through the twist, and all of it stays white gold so the tanzanite is the only color in play. The ring reads wide and worked at the sides while the center stays plain and direct. Ring size 7 US.
