The diamond line on this ring never closes. It curves around the 4.08 carat oval tanzanite as a halo, then peels away at both sides into a long S that crosses back over itself and runs out along the shank, finishing in a small pavé bar at each shoulder. Halo and band are one continuous ribbon rather than two separate pieces of work.
Fifty-eight diamonds follow that path, 0.45 carats between them. Four claws hold the tanzanite at the center, and because the ribbon crosses over the halo at an angle instead of meeting it square, the ring shows a different profile from each side of the hand. Ring size 7 US.
