Cushion cut, corners rounded and the face left wide, this tanzanite reads almost square from across a room and softer once you are close to it. One row of round diamonds rings the stone, then a polished white gold rim wraps outside that halo and gives the head a second cushion outline of its own.
Each shoulder carries three parallel rows of pavé that run out to the band, which is why seventy-four diamonds fit onto a ring this size. Around 5.10 carats of blue-violet the effect is a continuous field of white, and the 14K white gold adds nothing warm to the color.
