A trillion cut tanzanite holds the center, its three rounded corners caught by three prongs, and the halo of small round white topaz follows that triangular outline exactly rather than softening it back into a circle. That is what gives the ring its character: the head reads as one bright triangle rather than as a stone with a border around it.
Color sits toward violet through the body of the stone and cools to blue near the corners where the facets run shallowest. Below the head the band stays plain and flat, narrowing a little toward the back of the finger. Sized 8 US.
