A cushion cut tanzanite sits at the middle of a squared halo, the frame of small round white topaz following the cushion outline rather than rounding it off. Roughly two dozen topaz make up that border, set close enough that the halo reads as a bright cushion of its own around the violet blue center.
The band is flat and plain, running straight into the head with no stones on the shoulders, which keeps the top of the ring compact and close to the finger. Total weight is 1.48 carats, counting the center stone and the frame together.
