Two full rows of oval tanzanite run the width of this band, seven stones to a row, all laid with their long axes across the finger. Between and around them small round white topaz fill every gap, so the face is completely covered and no metal shows through the top. The tanzanites vary in tone from pale periwinkle to a deeper violet, and set side by side that variation is what gives the band its depth.
The whole head is wide and flat rather than domed, which makes it sit low and read almost as a half eternity band despite the density of stones. Sterling silver shoulders taper down from the outer row into a plain shank. Just over three carats of stone across the pair of rows.
