Five staggered rows of oval tanzanite wrap the dome of this band, every stone set east to west in its own claw basket, with more than twenty visible from the front alone. Small round white topaz drop into the gaps where the baskets meet, so the silver between the color reads as bright punctuation rather than as empty ground.
Stone by stone the violet and blue shift in proportion, and that variation is what keeps a mass this dense from flattening into one block of color. The band is deep from edge to edge, sits high off the finger and narrows to a plain shank at the back. Sized 7 US.
