A pair of tanzanite, roughly half a carat each, set on their sides so the long axis of each cushion cut stone runs across the ear rather than up and down. Two prongs hold each stone top and bottom against a small silver bridge carrying a cross hatched engraving on its face.
Tanzanite moves between blue and violet depending on how it is turned, and at stud size that shift is the whole appeal, a color that changes as the head moves. Sterling silver, 7 by 5 millimeters.
