Trillion cuts are the whole idea here. Each tanzanite is a rounded triangle with its three sides bowed slightly outward, and a halo of small round diamonds follows that outline exactly, so the triangle stays a triangle instead of softening toward a circle. Yellow gold appears only at the three claws gripping each stone; the halo itself reads white.
The two tanzanites weigh 3.48 carats and the forty-two diamonds add 0.34 carats. At 11 x 11 mm the studs sit flush against the lobe with no drop below, and the triangular silhouette gives them a sharper read across a room than a round stud of the same footprint would manage.
