Very little metal shows from the front of these studs. Each trillion cut tanzanite is set apex up and gripped at its three corners, and a single row of round diamonds runs along all three sides right out to the outer edge, so what reads at the ear is a triangle of violet-blue inside a thin bright line. The two stones weigh 4.22 carats together.
Twelve millimeters to a side puts these well above the usual scale for a stud while keeping them flush to the lobe, so the color stays fixed in place instead of swinging. Forty-eight diamonds cover both halos.
