The trillion sits inside a triangular frame worked in a rope twist, its three sides following the outline of the stone with a white topaz bezel set at each corner. Purple runs to the edges of the 8.15 carat face, and because a triangular outline spreads more surface for a given weight than a round does, the stone reads considerably larger than its carat figure suggests.
That rope texture carries on down the shoulders, so the white metal has a worked, ridged surface throughout rather than a polished one, and the three corner bezels are the only smooth points on the ring. Ring size 6 US.
