A turquoise cabochon anchors the center of this floral cluster, flatly opaque and evenly blue against the faceted stones opening around it. Six oval aquamarines sit as petals, each one outlined in its own line of small white pavé, so the pale blue reads as six separate lights instead of a continuous band. The pavé carries on into the gaps between the petals and closes the outline of the flower.
The head spans wide across the finger and stands well off it, a cocktail ring in every proportion. Opaque blue at the center against clear, glassy blue around it is the whole point of the design. A warm gold tone shows through the openwork beneath the stones, under the white metal of the crown.
