All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Each earring is built in two parts. A straight yellow gold bar carries six small round diamonds in a single line down from the post, and a hinged loop below it hangs the emerald so the stone swings clear of the bar and turns as the head moves.
The emeralds are large ovals held by four gold bead prongs at the compass points, nothing else touching the stone, so almost the whole face is exposed. Their green is on the bright, slightly blue side rather than dark, and the warm gold of the frame sets against that rather than blending into it. The drop measures 19 by 7 millimeters and falls just past the lobe.
