An oval emerald sits at the center of each earring in four white gold claws, surrounded by a scalloped halo of round diamonds, every accent in its own claw so the outer edge breaks into small points instead of running as a smooth ring. Twenty stones circle each emerald, forty across the pair.
The green is soft and even, returning a diffuse light rather than sharp flashes, and the ring of diamonds around it supplies the contrast the stone does not. Twelve by ten millimeters means the finished cluster covers most of the lobe, 2.40 carats of emerald at the centers with 0.25 carats of diamond around them.
