An oval emerald is held on four claws at the center of this pendant, its green deep enough to read almost forest dark at the shoulders and lighter where the facets open toward the table. A halo of eighteen round diamonds is bead set tight around it, a thin bright ring that sharpens the oval outline against the skin.
The 14K white gold bail is tapered and flat rather than round, so the pendant hangs square to the chain instead of turning. The whole drop measures 17 by 7 millimeters, small enough to sit in the hollow of the throat and be read as green before it is read as a halo.
