Each stud is a single pear cut emerald held in three slim yellow gold claws, one at the point and two at the shoulders, with nothing else around it. The green is saturated and leans slightly blue, and 10K yellow gold in direct contact with the girdle warms the stone right at its edge while the middle stays cool.
At 8 by 6 millimeters the pair keeps a modest footprint on the lobe, worn point up. The metal is solid gold rather than plated, and 1.29 carats across the two stones is light enough that the posts sit straight without a support back.
