The six carats here are divided among small round amethysts set as stations along the full eighteen inches of chain, evenly spaced and bezelled so each sits flat. This is a necklace that works from any angle, since the stones continue around the back of the neck rather than clustering at the front. Purple against a slender sterling silver cable reads as a line of small dark points rather than a solid band of colour.
