This is not a single row. Marquise cut amethysts are set in two ranks that lean toward one another like leaves along a stem, so the band reads wide and dense across the wrist rather than as a narrow line. The claw work between the stones is fine enough that the purple carries and the silver stays in the background.
The color is a medium purple with a lilac cast where the points catch light, and the marquise outline pushes brightness out toward the tips of each stone. Nearly fourteen carats set this way covers a lot of surface. A box clasp with a fold over safety catch closes the 7 inch length.
