Seven round black diamonds, one at the center with six packed around it, sit in a shallow dished head rimmed in gold plating. The 0.90 carats is divided among all seven, which puts each one at a useful size: large enough to read individually, close enough together that the cluster resolves into a single dark flower from any distance. Black against yellow plating is the strongest contrast available in this kind of setting, and the polished rim draws a bright line right around the dark center.
